Course overview

This full-day training session will enable school leaders and middle leaders to understand how data in Raise and the new ASP is used by inspectors to identify lines of enquiry in an inspection. It will also look at how these lines of enquiry can be used by middle and senior leaders within their school development plans and address questions that may be asked during an inspection.

Who is the course suitable for?

Secondary and primary middle and senior leaders, headteachers, heads of department/faculty and aspiring middle/senior leaders.

Outcomes

  • Confidence in using Analyse School Performance (ASP) and the Inspection Data Summary Report (IDSR) to identify key lines of enquiry
  • Understanding of how IDSR/ASP is used to investigate the suitability of the curriculum
  • Understanding of how data is used as a starting point for inspectors and the related implications
  • To understand how data underpins school development priorities
  • To begin to understand your own school’s key lines of enquiry to follow up after the course
  • To be much better prepared for any forthcoming Ofsted inspection
