Ensuring effective safeguarding procedures

 

This one day course will enable leaders to complete a safeguarding audit to identify strengths and next steps. This course is also offered for a cluster of schools.

 

Developed by experienced senior Ofsted inspectors, this one-day training course will provide you with the information you need to ensure that your Ofsted inspection goes as smoothly as possible.

The course is designed to ensure that participants understand what Ofsted look for regarding safeguarding during an inspection. At the end of the day participants will have completed an outline safeguarding audit of their school and prepared an action plan. Clarity on how senior leaders can influence and manage the process of the safeguarding aspect during the inspection. A range of top tips on helping leaders to have greater control of the inspection process will be provided by an experienced Ofsted inspector.

 

The training will incorporate the most up to date Ofsted inspection guidance in order to ensure the most up-to-date information is provided.

 

At the end of the course you will: 

 

• Have an understanding of the current inspection framework requirements of effective safeguarding processes and procedures
• Have an improved knowledge of the systems and procedures needed to fulfil statutory requirements and the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders
• Be confident in using audits for governors, staff and pupils to assess current position
• Have an informed understanding of some best practice models
• Have completed a safeguarding audit
• Have an opportunity to start completing a safeguarding action plan to address priorities from the audit
